Not trying to be rude, but how to very poor orthodox jews manage?
Kosher food, atleast here, is EXTREAMLY expensive. Jewish stuff is expensive.... I've always wondered how orthodox jews living below the poverty line manage. I mean it's hard enough for any family below, or near the poverty line, but a lot of jewish things are expensive...
I obviously do not buy a lot of jewish things, but I've hear tefllin is a few hundred dollars... and someone said the hats some jewish men wear are around 200.... i complain that i pay 20 bucks for a tshirt....
and why does yamster always suggest the gay section for all of my questions? I could ask about jews, cats, the wii... anything and LGBT is first in line!
Orthodox communities are generally very tightly connected so if one family lacks something, others will pitch in. Additionally, the synagogue will help out families who cannot afford to buy all the kosher food they need.

What Is So Popular About Christian TShirts and Caps?
You walk down the street, go to malls, parks and even churches, you will see adults and teenagers wearing Bible verses on their t-shirt. You will also seeing some pretty catchy slogans on their shirts with references to Bible verses. You might even see some tshirts with obnoxious sayings on their shirts. Why do people wear these?
It is a way to express who you are and what you believe in. This is spreading the Gospel one t-shirt at a time. They come in t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, beanies, and baseball caps. You will find them in regular sizes to plus-sizes. Women wear them as well as little children. The color range is from to brilliant reds or deep black. Even the colors represent something about that person and their faith.
Cowboy and even Bikers had gotten into wearing Christian T-Shirts. I am not a cowboy but have seen some pretty cool Christian Cowboy tees. The biker are not to be out done. Their Christian Motorcycle tees are pretty cool and their slogans are pretty brazen. I guess they are ready to back up what they say. Hopefully with a Christian spirit.
What started out as a way for a few folks to express their faith quietly has grown into a multi-million dollar a year industry. The need to have more unique designs have risen and thus an industry is born. Graphic artist are creating new designs daily. They are either being hot pressed onto the shirts or embroidered.
It seems man has always tried to express himself with the wearing of clothes. Wearing tshirts is part of the world culture. You can visit remote parts of the world and find people wearing tshirts. Tshirts are just comfortable, easy to wear and care for. They are truly a functional shirt. It is only natural that Christians would want to express themselves with Christian T-Shirts and Caps that spread the Gospel. I vote for them but wished some of my brothers and sisters would opt out of the obnoxious saying. That is another subject for another time.
Sometimes our fellow Christians wear tees that are really in your face. You have to wonder whether being obnoxious about your faith is being a good Christian. Christians already have a reputation of being hypocrites so we need to be careful about what we wear.
The styles today include sweatshirts with hoods. They are also known as hoodies. There are Christian sweatshirts for this style. The young folks really seem to like these. Naturally they come in black which is their favorite color of the day. It seems awful hot to see someone walking around in a dark sweatshirt with a hood over their head. I guess that is why the young folks wear them and not the older mature crowd.
Unfortunately, our nation is becoming obese and therefore cloth sizes have increased. You can find Christian T-Shirts and Sweatshirts in plus sizes for men and women. You will usually have to pay a few dollars more for the plus size. I guess it has to do with using more material. A word of caution, just because it comes in 2XL doesn't mean it really is big. I haven't figured out how the makers decide what a 2XL is from a 3XL. Also, taken into consideration they might or probably will shrink after you wash them the first time. You don't want to pay out $25 for a Christian T-Shirt to wash it and now can't wear it because it is too small.
Christian caps and beanies are another way that young people and adults express their faith. The beanies have recently become very popular. You also will see Christian motorcyclist wearing their beanies. I like the beanies but they just don't look good on me. I guess you have to have the right shape of head to be styling.
Christian jewelry has been around for a long time. It is still popular today. The cross seems to be the most popular to wear. You even see none Christians wearing the cross. I can't help but think of being drawn near the cross.
So the next time you decide to put on a t-shirt or a beanie, think about sharing your faith. How many times have you said, I just have a hard time telling a stranger about my faith. The Christian TShirt or Cap can help open the door for you. Just don't start off with one of those tshirts that is so obnoxious or you have to be a theologian to understand what it is being said. That also goes for the greek stuff.
