Can peanut butter affect magnets/credit cards?
Okay so I know this is a weird question but . . . one of my friends told me that if you put your credit card next to a jar of peanut butter, the peanut butter will somehow "de-magnetize" the credit card strip (or something) and the credit card won't work anymore!
This sounds like nonsense to me, but he's a chemistry major and a science geek, and I don't think he's a habitual liar or anything. So, is there any truth to this at all?
It could be true if he is in a chemistry major.
