A blonde has just gotten a new sports car. She cuts out in front of a semi, and almost causes it to drive over a cliff. The driver furiously motions for her to pull over, and she does. The driver gets out and draws a circle and tells her to stand in it. Then he gets out his knife and cuts up her leather seats. He turns around and sees she's smiling. So he goes to his truck, takes out a baseball bat, and starts busting her windows and beating her car. He looks back to see that she's laughing. If there ever was a die-hard red sox fan it was Rosa Ibarra. Her family had come to Boston in the late 1800's and settled in the now famous North End. Like most of the Italians in Boston, they had connections with the Providence families, and the Ibarra family had quite a successful string of Italian food businesses. In the North End they owned the five star restaurant, Palermo, and on federal Hill in Providence, Rhode Island they had two incredible pasta shops with the freshest homemade pasta. All of their recipes went back to the old country and therefore everything was genuine. Therefore, these businesses were staples in both cities and made the Ibarra family a lot of money.

In addition to restaurants, the grandfather of Rosa had built more than a hundred apartment buildings in the North End, and Boston Real Estate prices were the highest in the country. Rosa was the product of her parents and grandparents hard labor, but she was also an incredible businesswoman and respected the family values. With there enormous income, they had been holders of Box Seats for the Red Sox games since they had won their first world series. Rosa was a Red Sox fanatic, and after Ted Williams's death, she wanted first dibs on the most popular items. Money was not an object, so she could be sure to have whatever she wanted, as long as the competitors didn't get their hands on it.

She was very familiar with the internet auction site eBay because she had found some of her most expensive jewelry there. She used her high speed internet connection to take advantage of all that eBay had to offer because she loved to shop. When she saw the Ted Williams autographed Baseball Bat and Baseball go on the website, she knew that she had to have it. She placed the first bid, and it was a high one, in order to dissuade other bidders from challenging her.

Over the next few days the auction continued, and the bids kept increasing. When she was looking at the ending time of the auction, she realized that she would be on the road travelling to Providence for her cousins wedding. She knew that she had to do something so she could keep bidding while she was in the limousine en route to the wedding. As she was speeding down I-95 she was in the middle of a bidding war with her sole competitor.
