What's a good advanced point and shoot camera for macro photography that's under $300?
I really REALLY like the Sony Cybershot H20 but it's discontinued and I really want a camera that has somewhat the same design as it (pop up flash, bridge handle)
I am considering the Nikon Coolipx L110 or the Canon Powershot SX20 IS, however I'd like to hear more advanced point & shoots cameras that are in the market. Also, the Canon has an aperture of 2.8, would that be good for macro? Any help is appreciated 
i have an olympus stylus 1020 and its amazing with taking macro pics but it was a little over 300 when i bought it but that was 2 years ago so the price might be a lot cheaper now

What is a good camera that's a step up from a point and shoot?
i have a little point and shoot dig. camera and i would like to upgrade.
i like photography but am not looking for an all pro camera. i would like a camera that is halfway between point and shoot and super professional. i would like to keep the price to $400.
Canon S5 IS
Has a lot of the versatility of an SLR but still a fixed lens. Great camera for giving flexibility and allowing for creativity. Learn a lot about advanced camera techniques while still affording simple options for times when you want someone else to snap a photo for you.
