Problems with a white (but now pink) stripe on a red polo...?
I have an awesome red polo shirt with a white stripe on the collar and white around the trim of the sleeves. Unfortunately, the first time I washed it, red dye bled onto the collar stripe and now what was once white has pink splotches all over it! Does anyone know how to remove the pink so that the stripe can be white again, WITHOUT ruining the red colour of the rest of the shirt? I live in Australia so only recommend products that are available here please.
Nothing, sometimes washing it again will help. You could try using a cup of vinegar in the rinse and wash the shirt wrong side out. The spots will either fade out or they won't, there really isn't much you can do about faulty dying practices on some clothing.
