How should a plus size woman dress to flatter her curves?
Im a new mother of a one year old, and before i gave birth to him, i was an athlete. I had a nice shaped body, and now i have some very unattractive curves. I weigh 165, but the bulges and bumps are disgusting to me. I don't want to wear jogging pants and tee shirts all the time, but i don't know how to dress anymore. I would love to look like a conservative mom... Please help
First, I think you need to start loving your new body. Bulges and bumps aren't disgusting. You're just not used to them. As long as you're healthy, who cares about having love handles. Try to internalize that you're never gonna have the body you had before, unless you have lots of money for babysitting and a personal trainer.
First thing you have to figure out, it's your new body shape. Look it up online and look for tips for dressing your body type.
After doing that, you have to go out to the plus size stores and try on everything you like that you now know flatters your body type. At least that's what I do. Every single piece of clothing I see in the rack and I like, I take to the fitting room. In there I'll make the desicion if I take it or not. Sometimes stuff that I love on the rack doesn't look good on me and viceversa.
A good tip for plus women, hell, every woman, is: get a good tailor. He/she will help you have clothes that fit you correctly.
Also, go crazy on accesories. Necklaces, earrings, purses, scarves, etc. If you drop the weight, your new clothes won't fit you anymore, but your accesories will. Believe me.
