Leadership Words, Spirit and Power?

I am pursued like a wolf out of the sheepfold; I am no wolf;
I am word and spirit and power.
Maxmilla (AD 465)

Inspiring words from an ancient woman.  Although being hounded for speaking her truth, she declares herself boldly and unashamedly.  So much in contrast with the three main UK political leaders.

As I write, they're desperately fighting the last full 24 hours of the election campaign towards a predicted hung parliament.  And the drone of their voices regurgitating the same worn and tired messages fills me with despair.  Where's word and spirit and power there?

My heart explodes as I suddenly turn that leadership question round upon myself!

I've been writing a book on finding your purpose, passion and power at work right now which gets published late summer.It's been ecstasy, as I love writing and the creative process of being a writer.

And, it has been agony, as I've confronted myself, time after time, for not speaking my truth as boldly as I could.  Muffling my mouth for fear of offending or 'being inappropriate'. For not being as much leadership word, spirit and power as I could.  Yet, there's a reality in that.

To get heard and be influential in leadership, you need to communicate with words, tone and style which your listeners can receive easily and eagerly.  So, as I can have a very strong interface style, I've fought with how much is 'too much' and how much is 'not enough' to achieve that aim.

I wanted to be so 'for heaven's sake, WAKE UP!' that my guts hurt with the imperative of this passion.  Do I deny my own need in favour of my message reaching the many or do I go full blast and risk alienating a whole bunch of people who could benefit from what I have to say?

Oh, dear god, I want my guts to ache incessantly with the passion of 'WAKE UP!'

I want to reach beyond the confinements of mind and ego, to touch heart, spirit and soul so that those who read feel their call to leadership, both inner and outer.

And, so, what emerged from all my tussling, even without me realising, was to include my passion and the WAKE UP! To include the spirit and the power garnished with words those with ears to hear them will hear.

As for the rest?... Someone else's words, spirit and power will be right for them.  Not mine!

What's the leadership message you want heard?

How have you watered it down to reach the 'many'?

And what are your words, spirit and power that will deliver your message spot on for those ready to receive it?
