Bathing Ape shoes, copying AF1 yet still loved?
This question is for sneakerheads.
Why do people still respect Bathing Ape shoes when they are 100% copied from AF1, but uses some sort of a "shooting star" logo instead of the Nike tick? It look exactly like an AF1, but I do have to admit I love the "shiny" Milo Bapestas.
Anyway, I also heard Bathing Ape has done a few deals with Adidas, making an exact copy of the Adidas Shelltoes and Superstar style, but with the "Shooting star" logo yet again.
Also I like their shirts and hoodies, that is their own unique brand. But the shoes are complete copies of the AF1!
How can you still respect the designer when he just obviously stole Nike's plan?

he did his own thing. mixmatching funky colors and glossy fabric (the name slipped my mind)

plus they both originated in 2 different countries
thats could also have something to do with the similarities
