Too late for physics?
Long story short I'm in my fourth of college and I'm a history major. I'm doing the five year plan and I really want to get a masters degree in physics. I'm very interested in high energy physics, astrophysics, cosmology, and astronomy. I have some science and math (bio, chem, algebra, stats) pretty good grades in those. I've also taken a stellar astronomy class taught by a CERN particle physicist and learned a lot and the labs blew my mind! I guess you could call me a bit of a space geek lol. Anyways I could probably pick up a minor in physics and maybe get some differential equation work out of the way. Does anyone think I can accepted to a masters program as a history major? I'm really interested in physics and I'm really regretting being a liberal arts major... I just don't have time to change majors. Oh and today I went to physics lecture from another CERN scientist on the Higgs particle and discovering the secret of creation and it was absolutely amazing.
First of all, consider what you'll do with a masters in physics. There will certainly be job options, but not really in astronomy, and you'll need a PhD to work in astronomy or do physics research in general. Second, you'll need a minimum background in physics in order to apply to a grad program - at the least, you should have taken calc I, II, III (or equivalent in the physics dept), linear algebra, differential equations, intro physics I and II, modern physics, classical mechanics, electromagnetisim, statistical mechanics and thermodynamics (one course), and quantum mechanics. It's really late to try to pick all that up at this point. Some lower-ranked grad programs will consider admitting you conditionally and letting you catch up, but they're unlikely to do that for someone who just wants a masters (more likely for a PhD student).

who has any links to any cool physics tattoos?
I LOVE the geek chic science tattoos! Anyone got any good ones?
I especially love astronomy and quantum physics and stuff.
I am a massive nerd!

i thought they were pretty darn neat...
lol now i'm thinking about getting a dorky tattoo when i finally get my degree [mechanical engineering!]
