Should I kiss a guy who I don't know personally?

I like this guy named Brett. I'm pretty positive he has no clue I exist but I really like him and he seems to notice me in the hallway. He's in 7th grade and I'm in 8th. I was dared by my best friend to kiss him. And I do want to... I won't see him after I graduate and maybe something can grow out of one kiss. He's really funny as i've heard (hes my cousin christophers best friend). I don't know what to do. I mean what if he rejects me and I embarrass myself? I don't wanna chicken out.. my friends all tell me just live life to the fullest and don't have regrets. And what if he does like it? What should I do then?! haha. I'm kinda stuck.. hes a hippie. lol I just wanna know if I should do it in all first. HELLPPP!!
Honestly, years from now I guarantee you it won't make a difference. So, if you want to do it, do it.
If you choose to do it, and are too afraid of rejection to just go ahead and kiss him, I would recommend that you tell him how you feel. And if he rejects you in a mean way, no worries... he's just being immature.
