Some questions about ice hockey...?

I'm 15 and tonight i went to see my first ice hockey game (Guildford flames v Milton Keynes Lightning) and really enjoyed it. My sis suggested to me that i should maybe think about starting it up. i know obviously you have to be good at skating, but how would i start to get involved in the game? would i have to go to trials somewhere? would i need lessons? am i even too old to start playing? please help. it looks like good fun and something i would be interested in.

your never to old to start playing hockey, but if you plan to play pro people usually start at a young age and develop their skills early, But if you just want to play for fun theres nothing stopping you. Go to your local rink and check when they have an open skate which is where anybody can pay like 3 bucks and skate for an hour, no hockey sticks though, but this is good to practice skating. When you think your a good enough skater to play with other people ask freinds or people at the arena if there are any pick up games you coule join. If you want to be serious about you will have to spend some cash and take a hockey school.
