Tonight I saw a baseball player get showered with beer just before making a catch. What's your opinion of this?

Is the fan a douche for doing that? Is it a dangerous thing? Remind you of Ron Artest a little?

Does it qualify for play of the day, blocking out the beer cup and beer all over his head to make the catch? Shane Victorino the Phils made the play against the Cubs in a Phils route tonight.

OK - I should start by saying I am a huge Phils fan (and Victorino, by the way). I think it was a low class move and the fan is a major douche. What was more disturbing was that security didn't get the right guy initially. Looks like they finally did. As for play of the day, it has to be right up there. Let's see if it makes the highlights.

Cubs vs Sox vs Cardinals fans?

So I haven't really ever been a fan of baseball but recently I've been exposed to it a lot more and have taken an interest. I live just south of Chicago where there are Cubs and Sox fans equally. My girlfriends likes the Cubs but I have grown up around Sox and Cardinals fans. I am in need of a new hat to wear and I like the baseball cap style. But I am undecided on which team I want to support. Is wearing a team baseball cap a big statement? I don't really care for Cubs fans as, no offense to anyone, most fans I've met in my area are stuck up douches. I'm sure each team has good and bad fans. I'm thinking of just getting a Cardinals hat and not really get crap from either the Sox or Cubs fans. Not to mention, my Grandpa who was a die-hard Cardinals fan died exactly 1 year before the Cardinals won the world series, to the day. Any opinions on why people like their team are welcome.

I would say get a Sox hat..but then again I'm a Sox fan :]

Just get a hat for whatever team you think you like the best, if you have more intrest in watching say a Cards game over a Sox game, then get one for the Cardinals. I must say though, green Sox hats are awesome! You could also get more than one hat. There's plenty of places that sell hats for cheaper than normal price (like TJ Maxx or something) so you can probably get more than one.

You're definitely right about Cubs fans though..most are douches, but then you'll get the occasional nice ones haha. Sox fans in my opinion, while there are much less of us, we're MUCH more loyal towards our team. Plus the Sox actually win things every once in a while, which just makes it more fun :]

Btw, did you see the Buerhle game the other day? It was awesome!
