Do I need a Visa for this?
I'm an Indian citizen living in Netherlands and I have Dutch residence permit. I want to go to India and I have 2 separate tickets from two different airlines.
1. Amsterdam to London(Heathrow) (Easyjet)
2. London (Heathrow) to Mumbai (British airways)
Now, is it possible to go to London Heathrow airport without an UK Visa? Considering that I'm a non EU citizen. And then board the next flight?
Disregard the first two answers; they don't have a clue about U.K airport transit visa procedures.
Being an Indian citizen you are required to have a Direct Airside Transit Visa (DATV) in general.

However holding a residence permit of an EEA state [the Netherlands is one] waives the DATV requirement.
Being DATV waived you may also apply for a 24-hour (transit without visa) transit-visa which in turn would allow you to fly on one leg low budget and in turn change aircraft and check-in again on other airlines.

Be aware of the fact that this is only possible since you are living in the Netherlands; other Indians without European or American residence permits could not do so.
