I'm depressed. I think about suicide but know I will never do that.?
I'm 14 and depressed again. I have these thoughts of bad things happening to me, but then when I stop thinking about it I think "why did I just think that."
I'm depressed cause I fight more with my mom, i'm not losing fat and gaining muscle that much (i'm fat), there is a girl I really like but can't have her cause she is taken, my family pisses me off, I get annoyed at the smallest things, I have stretch marks on my from weight lifting and I don't like to take my shirt off in the locker room, I get made fun of at school but not that much but it still pisses me off, I listen to music that sings about death and stuff (ex. Slayer, Bring Me The Horizon, The Black Dahlia Murder)
My question is how do you get out of depression and what can I do to not get back in it?
I think most of what you are feeling is a part of adolesence, however, it isn't good if you are thinking about suicide. I don't really agree with the comment above me, that this is just a phase and will go away. I went through the exact same thing. Depression, cutting, suicide attempts, listening to the music you do now. I'm 17 now and have gotten better in some ways, but for the most part, have just gotten worse. I don't want to scare you because it could very well just be a stage where you try to find out who you are (which is very difficult) But you are the one experiencing it, and only you can tell if you feel this is a stage or if something is really wrong.
I suggest talking to someone about how you feel. It doesn't have to be a professional or anything right now. If you don't already try writing about how you feel. You know like write poems or stories. Maybe try checking out some books at your library about depression if you think you may have depression.
