I was just crying my eyes out! Christmas HelP?
So every Christmas Eve we have my family my mom dad bro and me and my Grandma and Grandpa over. We all live in the same town... My Nana and Papa usually come over just for Christmas Day. They live about an hour away. This year nana and papa have no one to spend Christmas Eve with we invited them, and they said they'd call back. So the next day they call back and say no because they just want ot go to church than have a layed back Christmas! I was so sad... I am crying you may not think its abig deal but it is. SO my daddy calls them and they just make heexcuses like the weather and there coming the next day anyway!? They say they want a layed back time we are layed back time always and my mom said that.. How can i get them to come IMPORTANT too ME
They love our church and can go with us I ' m only 13..
You have to think of your Grandparents wishes, not just your own. At 13 you should know how to handle it when you don't get your way. Even if it's a big deal to you.
I am sure they love you, and don't mean to hurt your feelings, they just would prefer to come on Christmas Day instead of Christmas Eve *and* Christmas Day.
You should be very grateful that your Grandparents travel to you on Christmas Day an hour each way each year. They must truly think you are worth the trip and time. And "laid back" to Grandparents does not have the same meaning as it does to parents or kids. It takes a lot of energy as you get older just to travel and go from point a to point b.
So as a Christmas gift to yourself and to them, you should learn to appreciate them, cherish the time they DO spend with you, and stop your crying !

My eight year old daughter Mirela came into the living room yesterday when me and the little woman were entertaining our Mormon friend Akbar.
She said "Daddy, I understand this whole Jesus thing now. It's like dog training".
At first I was offended. But just as I was about to take her doll's head off as punishment, she expanded her theory and it made perfect sense!
"I see grandpa training dogs all of the time. Some are nice but not too smart. Grandpa scratches them on the ear and shows them the right way to do things. These are atheeests. (She can't pronounce atheist yet. Cute)"
