How to put grip on a baseball bat?
I got a new baseball bat, it's about 34" and I forgot the weight. The bat is slippery at the handle and i need some grip. I don't have batting gloves at the moment, and no pine tar. So i was thinking about useing some sand paper to make it ruff or something or use a knife and go up and down on it. If anyone got any better idea's please share. Thanks you.
I have over thirteen different bats, metal and wood. If it is wood, i would suggest using hockey tape. What i do is roll up about a three foot piece so it is like a rope. Then i wrap it around the handle to look like a crossing pattern Trust me, this will fit very nicely in the grooves of your hands. Then i go over it with a bit more tape over the top of it to secure it down. This gave my bat more balance and a thicker handle which gives more control to the hitter. If it is metal, then go buy a leather grip and preferably one that is cushioned. I like Kellyssports. They have a dimpled grip that is great for good bat handling. I gotta tell you though, i use pine tar and love it. Just use in regulation of course...
