Why do people keep calling Barack Obama black?
I know he is half black but to call him just black is just ignorant, don't you think?
Not really, I mean, I'm Polynesian-Hawaiian and Irish and I have to check the "white" block in the surveys. Sometimes as a joke I put "Irish, Polynesian-Hawaiian-American" in the other block. But I mean, by and by, I'm white, he's black. Hoody hoo. I mean it's really not about where you're from. Plenty of black looking people from generations back in Peru. They could easily be "non-white Hispanics" but they look more black than Africans and Haitians. What do you want the media to do? Call him Kenyan-Dutch-American? Sounds like a Blue Bell flavor from hell.
