What is the best way to learn Arabic?

There are no arabic teaching academy where i live in the UK, i went to Dubai a few weeks ago and bought a CD from the mall of the Emirates or i think it was Dubai Mall hmmm.
What good books can people recommend?

I think arabic is a beautiful language and i would like to learn. Especially if i am coming back to the UAE.

Even though i can read Arabic i cant understand it, any help would be great.

1- i think you should have some friend who is talking arabic . as i am
(online or you live with)
2- if you found some one speak arabic ask him teach me some words and write it and keep asking if you meet some one
